"I chose the #MelanomaResearchFoundation as my charity. Around 8 years ago I was diagnosed with a Melanoma on my arm. Although it was minor and I was lucky to only walk away with a large scar it was very scary. I grew up when sunscreen was wearing SPF 8 and tanning beds were common. They say melanoma is often the 'silent killer' as you may feel fine when you have it and may not even have a noticeable lesion on your skin but it can quickly spread in your body. Making people, especially young people, more aware of the true dangers of the sun and repeated unprotected exposure is important to me."
